LO64 Source Release


Hey there, I decided to share the Unity project files here for anyone interested in what went into this small, "microgame"-style project. That includes source code for player controller, gameplay, menus, and some very basic AI that works specifically within this game design.

Admittedly, it is quite messy and hacky in some parts; there should definitely be some greater abstraction or structure to make this a little bit more manageable, but hopefully this game is small enough for anyone curious about what went into it.

For some context, this was originally my first 3D Unity project which eventually evolved into a prototype for a throwback-style FPS. This was so I could learn a little bit more about how Unity handles certain things with gameplay loops and control. There are no animations, all of the rudimentary rotations and feedback are all in-code. I ended up completing what is the 1.0 version over the course of 3 months while completing some of my senior coursework in college, so it is what it is.

With that said, many things were thrown together in the spur-of-the-moment and may not be optimal. I do hope that if anyone is curious that it might help them experiment with some ideas they have, or perhaps inspire some solutions to whatever projects people might have going on in Unity.
